Organization: Gilgit-Baltistan Testing Service (GBTS)
These Terms and Conditions ('Terms') govern your access to and use of the services provided by Gilgit-Baltistan Testing Service (GBTS). By visiting our website, applying for jobs, or participating in tests, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Eligibility
- Candidates must be citizens of Pakistan with a valid CNIC.
- Only those who meet the advertised job eligibility criteria may apply.
- Providing false or misleading information will result in disqualification and possible legal action.
2. Registration and Application
- Candidates must register through the official GBTS portal by filling in accurate personal, academic, and contact information.
- A unique application number or roll number will be generated after successful submission.
- Application fees, where applicable, must be paid as per the instructions provided in the job advertisement.
3. Test Process

- Candidates must bring their original CNIC and roll number slip on the test day.
- Any form of cheating, impersonation, or misconduct during the test will result in immediate disqualification.
4.Test Modes
- Computer Based Testing
This mode of testing shall be fully automated and conducted through a computer-based system without the use of any manual instruments. The question paper will be generated using AI, taking into account the complexity, difficulty level, and educational qualifications required for the post. The paper will be presented to candidates in real time, and the result will be displayed immediately upon completion. A consolidated result will also be published on the portal.
- Paper-Based Testing (PBT)
This mode of testing shall be semi-automated. The question paper will be generated using AI to minimize human intervention and ensure fairness. The evaluation of answer sheets will be carried out through OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) software.
The question paper and OMR answer sheets (bubble sheets) will be securely delivered to the test centers. Candidates will manually fill the OMR sheets during the exam, which will then be returned to the scanning facility under secure protocols. The OMR software will process the scanned sheets, and the results will be generated and uploaded to the system accordingly.
4. Results and Selection
- Test results will be published on the GBTS website.
- GBTS is not responsible for the final hiring decision; results are forwarded to the relevant government department.
- The final selection depends on interview performance, department policies, and available vacancies.
- Test results will be published on the official GBTS website for transparency and candidate reference.
- GBTS is solely responsible for conducting the written/computer-based examination, which constitutes 90% of the total assessment. The final hiring decision lies with the concerned government department.
- Final selection is based on interview performance (constituting 10% of the total marks), department-specific policies, and the availability of vacancies. GBTS has no role in the interview process or final appointment decisions.
